Susan Brissette

WIN-Global Board Member representing Canada and President, WiN-Canada

We all want to make a difference and have an impact; I got involved in Women in Nuclear to do just that. Through WiN, we can all contribute to industry improvements by building public support and creating opportunities for women to be recognized for their achievements and to get the tools and support to progress in their careers.
In addition, as the mother of two daughters, I’m tackling barriers and issues to enable change that may impact women entering the workforce today and in the future.

I’ve worked in the nuclear industry for over 15 years, first in the UK then in Canada in a variety of senior communication and change leadership positions throughout my career. I have been a WiN member since attending my first WIN-Global Meeting in Washington in 1999 and launched WiN-Canada in 2004 with the help of fellow blogger, Cheryl Cottrill and a lot of support from my employer, Bruce Power and WIN-Global members from around the world, especially WIN-Global President Junko Ogawa.

At Bruce Power, I am a member of the leadership team responsible for managing and enhancing our Management System. I have a degree in Finance and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I love to travel the world with my daughters, I’m involved with my children’s school activities and with women’s organizations and I enjoy reading non-fiction and gardening.
